Hi, my name is Claire, I qualified as a solicitor in 2006 and went on to complete my STEP qualification and became a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners in 2012.

After qualifying in 2006 I relocated to the Southwest of England from the Midlands joining the Private Client Team of a formidable medium sized firm of Solicitors in East Devon. I remained with this firm for 15 years, more recently becoming a Partner in 2015 and running one of the branch offices.

In 2020, after having my second child I decided on a slight change in direction. I wanted to offer my clients a more personable approach rather than the corporate one I had been part of for so long.

I founded Claire Veness Legal in 2021, a niche legal practice, based in Exmouth, Devon, specialising in all aspects of Private Client Services including Wills and Estate Planning, Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax Planning, Probate and Administration of Estates, Trusts and advising Elderly clients.

I thrive to provide advice to my clients to protect their best interests and ensure that their wishes are put in place to enable them to protect their loved ones.
